The Trees

~Alvie~

My eyes narrow. It was a partial lie, or a confusion of facts. "And did you know the people in question?"

"No."

~Alvie~

"And so you assumed that throwing potentially harmful objects at strangers would certainly be taken lightly and not perceived as a possible attack?" Though she cannot possibly see my expression from where I am, one eyebrow raises. How devoid of sense this is.

~Lilith~
I climb into a tree, as high up as I can get, and lay down on a thicker branch. I close my eyes and enjoy basking in the sunlight while humming to the tune of the music playing through my headphones. My foot sways to the tune of the music, the rest of my body unmoving.

~Diane
As I stroll through the trees, I notice some movement high up above. I pull my bow and arrows out, moving closer until I can make out who it is. When I see it's just a camper, I put my bow back onto my back and call up to her.

"Hey, would you mind having some company?" I ask the girl.

~Lilith~
"I'm indifferent," I say, tugging out my headphone and sitting up straight.

"What brings you here?"

Emilie walked into the trees and immediately began climbing

~Diane
"I like to spend my team here. That, and I'm looking for Selene. I think she went out to look for some food again, but I can't get her into the Mess Hall, so she's probably out here somewhere. And why are you here, all alone, if you don't mind me asking?"

~Lilith~
"Selene?" I say, tilting my head to the side.

"And to answer your question, I just wanted to be alone. I like the forest a lot."

Conor jumped down from the tree and smiled at Lilith, "Hi."

~Lilith~
"Hi," I say, waving at Conor. My legs swing back and forth from the tree branch idly.

"Im Conor. Son of Ares."

~Diane
"Ah, I hope I'm not bothering you," I apologize. "As to who Selene is, she's my she-wolf. I'll introduce you once I find her," I say, ignoring the newcomer.

~Lilith~
"No, you're fine. Some company is nice, I guess," I say, looking through the trees and attempting to mask the sadness in my eyes.

"I'd like that," I say, referring to her she-wolf.

Conor looked down and kicked his foot into the ground. He missed Emily more than anything

~Diane
"Would you like to talk about what's bothering you, or would you rather not?" I ask, trying to help relieve her stress. I could tell she had something bottled up, but I didn't want to pressure her.

Conor cleared his throat, "It was nice to meet you."

~Lilith~
"Not really," I say, hopping down from the tree and standing next to her.

"Let's look for your she-wolf."

Conor sighed, feeling very ignored

~Diane
"Good thinking," I say, clambering down from the branch and continuing to ignore the boy. Disgusting.

~Lilith~
I eye Conor with a little bit of disgust before walking away. Boys suck.

"Where do you think she is?"

~Diane
"If I had to guess, I would say she's pretty deep in the forest. She's looking for a meal, and that's where most of the monsters will be. Are you sure you want to do this?"

~Lilith~
"Yeah, no problem. Beating up monsters helps relieve stress, anyways," I say, my swords appearing in my hands as we start to walk into the forest.

~Diane
"Very well. Stay on your toes, you never know what you'll find out here," I say as I draw my bow and arrows, heading into the denser and darker area of the forest.

"Selene!" I call out, my voice echoing within the trees.

~Alistair~
He walked around then found a large boulder and sat above it floating on the shadow under him. He crossed his legs looking down relaxing and listening to the silence.
