The Trees

Justin followed Hannah towards the trees with a smile on his face.

Hannah walks around occasionally placing a hand on the trees with a smile.

"So, how are things?" Justin asked casually.

Hannah shrugs, "Not too bad. Saved that Macy girl from tuning into a human explosion. Oh, and Zak brought me to Manhattan a few days ago. I had never seen the city before. " She says with a smile.

Justin nodded. "You save lives. You're a hero." He chuckled. "And I've actually never been into the city either. Maybe we could go sometime."

Zoey and sophia walked around the trees as kira climbed above them

Hannah blushes a bit. "Oh I'm no hero. To be fair I wasn't even sure my idea would work. All that was mostly luck. And sure. I think it would be fun. I think youll like it." She says with a smile as she walks around the trees.

Justin followed walking beside her. "You saved my sister's life, no less. That's admirable."

Hannah gives a small smile, "Yeah, but I wont be any good in combat. I'm not very much a fighter, and that sort of thing." she says with a small sigh.

"You save lives. You don't put them in danger." Justin chuckled. "I'm not that good in combat either. Good enough to take down a few monsters if needed."

Hannah smiles and nods, "I'm sure. And I'm sure your a good fighter. Ive never held a weapon before in my life. I suppose I could if needed, but its more of a personal choice."

Justin nodded. "Well, on a happier note, I don't really know much about you... You care to tell me about you?"

Hannah shrugs, "Well that depends. What do you want to know?"

"I don't know." Justin said. "What are some likes and dislikes of yours? That sounds like a good place to start."

Hannah thinks for a moment, "Well, I don't liars. Anybody being cruel to animals just for the sake of it, and beets." She makes a bit of a face when she mentions beets. "How about you?"

"Who knew beets would be what gets the face out of you?" Justin asked. "I, on a positive note, liked sports back when I was at home. I keep up with what I can but it's difficult down here. Being from Chicago, I'm a huge Bears and Blackhawks fan." Justin said.

Hannah nods, "I'm a bit of a New England Patriots fan myself. Ive always love the ocean too, being that I basically grew up next to it. Oh, and I love sea food. Especially Oysters." She says with a smile.

"New England is good." Justin said with a nod. "I like seafood but not too much. I never had it often as a kid but it's not bad."

Hannah nods, "That's ok. You would be surprised the number of people I talked to that had live by the water their whole lives, and never even had seafood before."

"I've had it." Justin said. "Just not often." He continued walking. "I also am intrigued by love while we're talking about things we love. We have these feelings of attraction to people and things that draw us to want more of that person or that thing. It's an intriguing phenomena."

Hannah could sense where this might be going, but she remained calm about it, "Yeah. Why do you think that is?"

"I don't know." Justin said. "All emotions are like that really. Why do we feel them? Love is the most interesting one of them. It's true what they say. When you know, you just know." He sighed and sat down. "I've been thinking about that kind of stuff a lot the past couple of days. It's really interesting."

Hannah gives a small laugh, "Then you think too much. Love is one of the few things that you cant examine in a lab. You can analyze it all you want but it wont change how some one feels."

"I think too much? I'm not trying to break down love. It's an idea that has so many different definitions. It's just a fun thing to think about. No other animals experience love in such a way humans do. That kind of stuff intrigues me." Justin felt like she was giving him a message when really, he was just speaking his mind.

"Actually that's not true. Its been proven that Elephants actually grieve when they lose their young, sometimes to the point of starvation." She says casually as she sits down next to him, "Same thing with love between them. Their chemical hormones are raised when they see an elephant that they hadn't seen in a while."
