Long Island Sound

"Well, if I'm family, this is illegal." Leo joked.

Hadley gives him a look, "Don't spoil the moment." She says with a smile as she kisses him again.

Leo smiles into the kiss.

Hadley smiles then pulls away, "Hang on a sec." She says as she focuses and some grains of sand start to float and group together.

"What is happening?" Leo asked.

Hadley ignore him and continues. The grains join and seem to melt into one then hardens and shape a new stone. It drops in Hadley's hand, as clear then changes to a rosy color. "Here." She says, and the stone changes color when it reaches Leo's hand, "Its a special, protective  mood stone."

Leo nodded. "What's it's purpose?"

Josie looked at chris

Andrew walked down to the water and sat in the sand.

Hadley smiles, "Its a charm the more you wear it the more emotion is put into it and greater the protective spell will be. That way nothing can hurt you."

Leo nodded. "I'm still not sure I follow."

Chris smiled.

Josie couldn't stop herself. She wrapped her arms around chris' neck and kissed him deeply

Chris immediately pulled away from her. He was not ready to move on from Cassie. He was trying but he wasn't ready.

Josie looked at him then looked away in tears. She was so stupid. She got Out of the water and was completely dry

Chris shook his head and got out as well, grabbing his towel to dry off.

Josie put on her clothes in silence

Hadley just looks at him, "All I will tell you is this. A person's soul, is the most important thing we own, and many treat theirs, like it is something that can just be traded. Having your soul ripped from you is a fate worse than death, once it's gone, unless there is someone out there with the single talent of returning them, you cant get it back. In a time of immediate, and rising  danger, the charm will release a protective spell for one. This spell will only be activated in a time of great peril, and it can only be used once. There wont be anymore need of it, because that spell, will last you through your entire life, and only fade when the fates deem it your time."

Leo nodded. He was starting to understand.

Chris continued to dry off, not looking at Josie.

"Am I not good enough?" Josie asked

Chris sighed. "Josie, you're great. I'm just not ready to move on yet..."

She looked at him, her eyes filled with sadness "chris I really like you I just wish you would give me a chance"

"And I might just give you one. But moving on takes time and I need you to respect that." Chris said.

Josie sighed. She knew all this. But she didnt want to wait

Dawn runs onto the beach and starts to pick up stones and throw them into the water

"I'm really sorry, Josie..." Chris said.
