Max sighed "my ex, the last girl I dated, was my first real love and that's not something you get over so easily so even thought it's only been a few months since we broke up I still love her and I always will" Max took a breath and looked at the water "we are good friends now and I'm happy with that, but I'm still not ready to date again and I feels like I'm not going to be anytime soon."

"He said he wanted to talk strategy with Emma before the race."

Jade frowned as he spoke and nodded "I see"
sierra frowned "Emma? Hes still obsessing over her?"

Dawn gives her a look, "What? What do you mean still obsessing?"

Max just nodded and looked at the water.

Dawn looks at Sierra, as the fear creeps into her head, "Sierra what are you talking about? What do you mean he's obsessing over Emma?"

"Hes been in love with her for years. Even when me and him wet dating. Its always been emma, emma and more emma with him. You honestly havent noticed?" Sierra asked

Jade looked at the water showing no emotion in her face

Leo sighed. "My childhood was normal. I actually grew up in Germany. My parents heard of this place and sent me here but we were in America for a few years after my parents wanted a new beginning given my reputation across boarding schools being a flirt. They cared a lot about what people thought of me."

Chris chuckled and splashed back.

Dawn felt so betrayed. She shook her head, "No, he wouldn't just...and now they are...he said he loved me." She says as she could feel the tears coming.

Hadley nods, "So how did you find out you were a demigod?"

Maxwell laid back and sighed, he didn't know what to say.

Dawn stands up, "I need to go... do...a ...thing." She says clearly distracted as she gathers her things.

Leo sighed once again. "It was an interesting thing. I realized I had this ability to play with the attraction someone feels towards me and that's kinda how it happened. I was able to figure out I had that power and the rest just took some research."

Hadley nods and fiddles with the sand trying to think of what to say next.

Dawn packs up her things and heads to the Zeus cabin.

Leo chuckled. "Like I said, not much to tell."

Jodi smiled and splashed chris back

Hadley nods, "So have you ever met your dad?"

Max stood up and sighed "I'm going to go" he said.

Jade looked at him "oh... um... ok"

Max left and went to his cabin.

"Nope." Leo said. "I hope he doesn't hate me for trying to date someone. He generally doesn't take kindly to his children practicing monogamy. But what's another parent disappointed?" He asked with a smirk.

Chris smiled.

Hadley sighs, "At least they leave you alone with disappointment. With disappointment at least one good thing comes out from it."

"It depends on how you choose to look at it." Leo said.

"Well, If they were disappointed in you then that's the worst they can do to you. Nothing else hurts as much after that." Hadley sys sadly as she pulls her knees to her chest.

"I want to make them proud but I'd much rather be here with you then make my parents happy. I'll take what my dad tries to give me." Leo said.

Hadley smiles, "Same here. I don't really have a family or a home any more. This camp is my home, and you and the rest of them are my family." She says giving him a small kiss, "And I wouldn't want it any other way."
