The Border

"Yeah," Alec nodded. "Anything else you want to know?"

Sophia sat by the big tree reading a book

Alec flicked a spark absent-mindedly in her direction, smirking.

Damian slowly crossed the border and looked around with excitement.

"Hi!" Skye appeared, as if out of nowhere, smiling happily.

"Hello, I'm Damian son of Thanatos" He said as he looked at the girl with a smile.

"I'm Skye, daughter of Athena, great to meet you!" she beamed. "Do you need showing to your cabin?"

"It's a pleasure to meet you" Damian said "and yes I do, thank you very much."

"No problem!" Skye beamed, taking his hand and leading him up the hill, still smiling widely.

Damian smiled and followed.

Dawn reaches the border with her things on the verg of tears. This was really happening. She was really leaveing.

Astra watched her silently from a tree.

Dawn stood there. She hopped justin got her painting. It was one she had done when she first came to camp. It was of the whole camp. She stands there then just broke down. It had finally unk in that she was really leaveing.

Astra silently slipped down from the tree and gently enveloped her in a soft embrace.

Dawn hugs back, then pulls away wolfing her tears, "Sorry. I'm just realizing that this is acctually happening."

"I know," Astra nodded.

Dawn sniffles, "This is the only home I can remember."

"'Tis not essential, thine departure, child."

Dawn nods, "Yes it is. I'm not going to know how the world functions if I don't go out and see it for myself. I guess I just thought Justin would be here."

"It can always wait," Astra said softly.

Dawn shakes her head, "If I don't go now I don't think I'll ever be able to leave. There is always going to be a reason for me to stay but I won't know how the world works or what I can do in it without leaveing camp." She says sadly and gives her another hug, "Tell the other Hunters I said thank you and I'll try to send a letter when I can."

A voice called out from a distance. "Dawn!" It was Justin.

Dawn looks up and smiles then looks back at Astra, "I'll write to you as soon as I get settled in my room. I'll be right back, just a sec." She says and walks up to Justin, "Hey."

"Hey. You're almost ready to go?" He asked.

Dawn nods, "Yeah, in fact I was just about to head out."
