Hermes Cabin

Hannah sees him and smiles, "I'll be outside when you are ready." She says knowingly and steps out of the cabin.

John cautiously approached Talia, reaching out carefully.

A soft sniffle could be heard from under the blanket.

John gently touched the blankets.

She didn't move. She stayed completely stil.

"Tali? Please?" John murmured.

She moved slightly, peeking out at her brother.

John cautiously held out a hand.

John stepped into the bathroom, scissors in hand, and stared at himself in the mirror. He huffed and swept his over-long hair out of his eyes, and raised the scissors to chop off a good inch so he could see. He hesitated, flesh hand shaking slightly as his metal held the hair impeccably steady.

Talia was curled up on the bed, blanket wrapped her shoulders as she stared blankly at her bed.

John exhaled slowly and lopped off the hunk of hair. He continued to hack at his hair until it was a couple of inches shorter and he could see properly. He set the scissors down and swept the hair into the trash, staring at himself and his chopped hair in the mirror.

Talia played with the edge of the blanket that sat around her, not really doing anything other staring.

John huffed unhappily. He padded out with the scissors. "Tali?" he murmured.

She blinked a few times and looked up at him.

"Can you- can you trim my hair?"

She nodded a little and moved to get up.

"Thank you," he murmured, pulling a chair over.

She tenderly took the scissors and slowly began trimming his hair.

John sat rock still, letting her tidy his botched job.

She evened it out, combing his hair gently.

John shivered and focused on the floor, his jaw clenching and fists tightening. It would not remind him of his boyfriend. Would not.

She smoothed his hair out with her hand once she was finished and gently brushed the hair off the back of his neck.

"Thank you," John murmured.

Talia went back to being curled up on her bed.

John sighed, padding over to sit next to her. "What's wrong?"
