Athena Cabin

Q huffed as he found the source of the problem; a fried wire. He fetched wire clippers and clipped off the frayed parts, then found a new stretch of wire, clipped it to the correct length, then used a pocket soldering iron to affix it correctly.

"You have a pocket soldering iron? That's so cool. The Hephaestus kids would be so jealous." Ella commented.

"Powered by a pretty powerful lithium-ion battery," Q acknowledged.

Ella nodded as she watched, absorbed.

"Not as cool as the white crystal, xenon diflouride batteries I have a couple of," he shrugged. "I've been meaning to remake my laptop with them, increase the CPU, storage space, and battery length, but I haven't had the time..."

Ella turned to face him in astonishment. "How in Hades did you get hold of them?"

Q grinned, blushing, looking down at his drone. He shrugged. "I have contacts."

"Contacts...?" Ella replied, raising an eyebrow.

Q shrugged. " A great master never reveals his secrets." Skye just rolled her eyes on the bed.

Ella grinned, realising that it was futile to trying to question him further.

Q shoved a bit of wiring into her hands. "Hold," he ordered, bringing out the soldering iron again.

Ella took it obediently, not taking her eyes off the device.

Q continued soldering, nimble fingers working quickly.

Ella crossed her legs and sat down silently to see more easily.

Q leaned back for a second, then delved back in to the innards of the drone.

Ella waited until a less critical moment and pointed to a small object on the side of the circuit board. "What does that do?"

Q slapped her hand away. "Don't touch."

"I'm not touching." Ella responded cheerfully, unabashed.

Q poked her with a length of wire.

Ella grinned but her hands were too full holding random pieces of wire for her to return the gesture.

"Let go," Q ordered.

Ella did as she was told and released the wires, letting them fall to the ground.

Q swept them up and fitted them in quickly, pressing a button and watching as it rose slowly and closed with an anticlimactic pneumatic hiss.

"So what does it do?" Ella repeated.

Q picked up the remote wordlessly, and sent the drone to fly around the cabin as he picked up his tablet. He tapped a few codes in and then accessed an app he had made for this purpose, watching as the hologram came up out of the screen. He set it on the floor and watched as it loaded, more building itself as the drone progressed around the room.
