Backstory: Jayce was born to his single mother, Jessica Fulgora in Los Angeles. She was a demanding but good mom - she never let Jayce slack in school or sports. He didn't know about his powers until eight grade, when the teacher brought out a Van der Graaf generator. He ended up causing a blackout throughout the whole elementary, middle, and high school, but it could've been worse if he had managed to touch someone. From that day, he made sure to be careful around metal, but also practiced with his powers when he got home in small ways. He graduated at the top 10% of his class, likely due to the intelligence he had inherited from his mother. However, he knew he was different, and this was most obvious on the day after graduation, when, on his way home from a friend's house, he was attacked by a group of empousai. Managing to finish them off but having caused a huge scene in the middle of the city, he ran home and packed up. His mother came home just as he was leaving, and although she wished there could be another way, she knew Jayce had to go. She took him to the airport where she kissed him good-bye, and sent him to the one place where he might be safe: Camp Half-Blood. It's been almost a year since that day.
Strengths: He's extremely skilled with his whip, and also intelligent.
Weaknesses: Jayce is claustrophobic and not agile or acrobatic in any way.
